Some of Our Top Picks For Long Island Restaurant Week

Long Island Restaurant Week is back! During the week of April 23 – April 30, you can take advantage of lunch or dinner at a reasonable price. What began in 2006 with one week in the fall, by 2011 a spring week was introduced and in 2016 a winter week.

Long Island Restaurant Week is one of Long Island’s most anticipated events. This spring, over 130 businesses are participating throughout Nassau and Suffolk County. 

Prices for participating restaurants range from $22 for a two-course lunch menu to a three-course prix fixe dinner menu for $27, $37 or $44 depending on the restaurant.

Nassau County

City Cellar

City Cellar is located in Westbury and serves American cuisine. The prix fixe dinner is $37. 

Havana Central

Havena Central is located in Garden City and serves Cuban cuisine. The prix fixe dinner is $44.

Thom Thom Steak and Seafood

This restaurant is located in Wantagh and serves seafood cuisine and steak. The prix fixe dinner is $44.

Suffolk County

H2O Seafood & Sushi

It is located in Smithtown and serves seafood cuisine. Prix fixe dinners are $37 or $44.

Lombardi’s On The Bay

This seaside location is in Patchogue and serves Italian cuisine. The prix fixe dinner is $44.

The Lakehouse Restaurant

The Lakehouse is located in Bay Shore and serves New American cuisine. The prix fixe dinner is $44.

Verdel A. Jones is a passionate educator and longtime TV Host of the popular show, Conversations with Verdel Jones. As founder of Deliteach Enterprises, LLC, she has been able to provide various services including speaking and hosting events dedicated to supporting our community. Her annual Write, Rhyme and Recite Collective has awarded over $5,700 in scholarships to students attending college. She’s made a significant impact on students for over 20 years as a teacher, school counselor, and district level administrator. Verdel’s talk show, Conversations with Verdel Jones is featured on Roku and Strong Island Television. Being a teacher at heart, her passion is focused on sharing conversations that inform and enlighten – in the hopes that individuals learn something they may not have known. She’s also the author of the must-have book, The Parent Agent: How to Represent Your Child and Get Them Into the College of Their Choice. Her extensive knowledge of the college exploration and selection process; current educational issues; and the social and emotional challenges students experience, make her an expert in her field, and she’s visited hundreds of colleges. As an inspirational speaker, Verdel is able to present on a myriad of topics from education and media to family and relationships. Her family-run company MiyaMar Productions, works to provide cutting-edge media content that people want to see. Verdel received her master’s degree in educational leadership from Long Island University, a master's degree in secondary education from Hofstra University, and obtained a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts at Boston. She has been married for over 30 years to her high school sweetheart, and has two adult children.
