We celebrate Black excellence 24/7, all 365 days of the year, but for Black History Month, we’re doing a little something special. Throughout the month, we’re highlighting Black Long Island businesses you may not have known about. Today, we’re shining a light on some mouthwatering meals from a Food Network star.
Food from a three-time “Chopped” champion is bound to be pretty good, so you might want to hit up The Hush Truck, founded by Chef Marc Bynum.
If you’re a sucker for some good wings, flavors include garlic, Fresno pepper, yuzu and more. They also serve ribs, grilled vegetable bowls and lets not forget ramen!

Chef Bynum has been in the industry for over 25 years serving as a private chef, business and restaurant owner. He has cooked for A-list celebrities and had his signature St. Louis Ribs make it to the O List of O Magazine in July 2016 (And yes, these ribs are currently on the menu!).
Bynum founded his restaurant Hush Bistro in his hometown of Farmingdale in 2014. In 2018, along with partners, he opened MB Ramen and Fatwood BBQ and Southern Kitchen. Bynum decided to pivot and go back to the freedom of food trucks full time this past winter, popping up in shopping centers in Huntington and of course Farmingdale.
When he’s not jamming and cheffing it up in the food truck, you can find Bynum catering private events or mentoring the next generation of young chefs.

To find his food truck, you can text 631-897-4874. You can also follow him on Instagram or Facebook for updates.
