#WomensHistoryMonth Spotlight: Emerald Marie

There are Long Island women who exude Black Girl Magic, and we want to feature them for Women’s History Month. Today, it’s Emerald Marie’s turn.

Emerald started her journey in front of the camera in 2016, modeling in music videos for artists such WillthaRapper and Faboulous. Upon graduating with a degree in political science from Towson University in 2017, Emerald was signed to a commercial and print modeling agency based in New York City.

Her experience working in print and commercial modeling allowed her to co-found of Raw Beauty, an all-natural skincare company that caters to sensitive skin.

The Long Island native also navigated her way to the top, covering private events across the east and west coast with no prior journalism experience. She covered events for prominent pop-culture figures such as Mona Scott, Mimi Faust, Yandy Smith, Adolfo Sanchez and Angel Brinks, as well as several red carpet events including the 2018 NAACP Image Awards, 2018 BET Experience at LA Live, 2019 VMA’s Pre Show, BWIM Awards and the 2018 BET Hip Hop Awards.

Some may also recognize her as the on-camera personality and journalist who Award-winning Actress Halle Berry stopped to talk to on red carpet in 2019 during the “John Wick 3” premiere and said “I can’t skip my brother and my sister.”

In addition to establishing herself as a media correspondent, Emerald is currently a co-host on the multi-award-winning live sports show “Real Fans, Real Talk” and is a contributor to various television segments including, “Where is the Buzz TV” and “RE TV.”
